Can I download content on Dwell and listen without internet?

Written by Jen Quirk

Yes! Offline listening is available on both iOS and Android. 🎧

What Can You Download?

You can download the following content for offline listening:

  • Any passage of Scripture (verse references, chapters, or entire books of the Bible)

  • Any complete playlist (including individual playlist tracks)

  • Individual days from a listening plan

  • Any of our experiences (Dwell Daily Devotionals, Sleep, Prayer)

  • Audiobooks

  • Background Music and sounds

  • Music from Explore

Note: You will download the version of the Bible you are currently listening to when you choose "Add to Downloads"

For Example: If you are listening to Kylie NIV when downloading the book of Genesis, Kylie NIV will be the only version available in your downloads.

How to Download

While listening to content, tap the 3 dots at the top of your screen and select "Add to Downloads" from the dropdown menu.

👉 Tip: To download an entire book of the Bible, long press the reference and you'll see a download option.

To download background music and sounds: Click the settings gearshift in the top left hand corner of your screen. Select "App Personalization" and then "Background Music". Click which collection of music you'd like to download, and then choose the download arrow to have the selection available offline.

To download music from Explore: tap Explore, and then "Music" open any album or track, then tap the download arrow.

Note: You'll need Wi-Fi or mobile data to download content. Once saved, you can access your downloads anytime, even without a connection.
